The Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH) is excited to announce an open position for a Student Employee at the CBWNet project.
You will support the content and organizational work in the BMFTR-funded joint project "Comprehensively strengthening the norms against chemical and biological weapons: The CBW Competence Network".

About the Project
The position is based in the joint project "Comprehensively strengthening the norms against chemical and biological weapons: The CBW Competence Network", funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and carried out jointly by IFSH, the Chair for Public Law and International Law at Justus Liebig University Gießen, the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), and the Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker Centre for Science and Peace Research (ZNF) at the University of Hamburg. The project examines how the prohibition norms in the multilateral chemical and biological weapons regimes increasingly under pressure in recent years can be strengthened.
Your Tasks
• Basic office and administrative work (mail, filing, petty cash, copying)
• Support in organizing the network's public and closed-door events
• Organizational support for the project's newsletter and website
• Formatting and editing academic texts
• Support with research on chemical and biological weapons control
Your Profile
We are looking for you, if you
• are a registered student at a state-recognized German university
• are confident in using all common MS Office applications
• have a very good command of German and English
• work independently and responsibly
• enjoy working in a team
• have a quick grasp, conscientiousness and a careful way of working
Basic knowledge of peace research and arms control acquired through your studies and/or internships or work experience is an advantage.
