CBWNet has submitted suggestions to the Open-Ended Working Group of CWC states parties that is preparing the 5th Review Conference of the Chemical Weapons Convention, to take place in May 2023. CBWNet argues that it is essential to the integrity of the CWC to investigate alleged chemical weapons use, to identify those responsible and, wherever possible, hold them to account. The submission suggests steps CWC states parties could take at the Review Conference to address non-compliance and ensure accountability for chemical weapons use.
